Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis is a deep state of relaxation where the subconscious mind is more receptive to ideas and suggestions. It is a gentle and effective technique for accessing the subconscious mind – the key to unleashing potential, changing unwanted habits and behaviors, and finding solutions to problems and concerns. Hypnosis is effective because it involves accessing your unique inner resources that promote natural inner healing.

Hypnotherapy is a powerful treatment that can release you from physical and/or emotional pain that is causing suffering. By identifying and understanding the root cause of the issue, transformation happens relatively quickly and easily, especially when compared with more traditional therapy techniques.

Everyone experiences the state of hypnosis many times during the day, including that time just before you fall asleep at night. Meditation, daydreaming, being absorbed in a book or music or TV, driving and arriving at your destination without recalling all the usual landmarks … these are a few examples of the state of hypnosis. Some refer to hypnosis as the ‘flow state’.

No, you willingly become suggestible to new, helpful thoughts and beliefs that you agree upon prior to going into hypnosis. Hypnotherapy actually helps you to become more in control of your thoughts and actions.

Many people misunderstand hypnosis because of watching stage shows or TV. They think the hypnotherapist has control over the person. This is a total misconceptionThe person in hypnosis is only guided by the hypnotherapist. Any time the person feels uncomfortable about what is going on they can simply end the session. The person in hypnosis is the person in full control.
