I come from a diverse professional background that continues to shape the way I show up in sessions. My experience spans women’s emergency shelter services, community mental health and addiction support, elder care, and domestic violence services. These roles have deepened my understanding of the many ways people navigate adversity, loss, resilience, and healing.
Throughout both my personal and professional journey, I found myself increasingly drawn to approaches that address not only the mind, but also the body and spirit. Energy healing and hypnotherapy have been transformative in my own life, inspiring me to explore the value of integrating holistic approaches alongside traditional therapy. This path led me to create a practice that honours the whole person and recognizes that healing is rarely linear, but instead unfolds in many different ways.
Wholistic Counselling and Wellness was founded on the belief that healing is not one-size-fits-all. I value both the science of psychotherapy and the wisdom that can emerge through intuition, connection, and self-discovery, creating space for clients to heal in ways that feel meaningful and authentic to them.
I hold a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Northern British Columbia (2021), where I specialized in supporting rural, remote, and northern populations. I am a Registered Social Worker, Certified Hypnotherapist, Reiki Master, Advanced Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) Practitioner, Certified Grief Support Counsellor, and Certified Trauma Recovery Counsellor. I have also completed additional training in Narrative Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, reconnect with themselves, and move toward greater healing and well-being.
I believe healing happens most profoundly when we tend to the whole person. This includes the stories held in the body, the patterns passed down through generations, and the deeper wisdom that lives within each of us.
I offer a nurturing space where you are free to explore all of it without judgment, without pressure, and without having to verbalize your difficult experiences if you’re not ready to.
When I’m not in session, you’ll likely find me outdoors—walking among the trees, tending to my garden, picking berries, or taking in a quiet moment in nature with my dog.
I always have a good book on the go, and I also enjoy cooking, baking, and experimenting with canning and fermentation, with varying results.
I’m drawn to meditative and spiritual practices as part of an ever-evolving personal journey of growth and connection (with a healthy dose of reality TV thrown in, too).
The ways I care for myself outside of the therapy room influence how I show up within it—with presence, curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for each person’s unique journey.
